Philadelphia
A thriving local IFB community where women gather in small Circles, keep learning after the cohort ends, and explore what values-aligned investing can look like in their own region.
For women ready to enter the money conversation
Invest for Better is where women stop feeling outside the investing conversation and start asking better questions, seeing what their money is already doing, and moving it with purpose.
Learn at your own pace, ask the questions you have been carrying quietly, and meet women building confidence beside you.
What changes here
Most of us were never invited into investing with ease. We were handed jargon, silence, or advice that did not reflect our lives. IFB gives women a different way in: practical learning, honest conversation, and a community that makes action feel possible.
You do not need to know everything before you begin. You need a place where the first question is welcome.
From retirement accounts to values-aligned banking, IFB makes space for real conversations instead of polished answers.
Your money is already doing something. We help you understand what, then decide what comes next.
The signature experience
Most financial education is built for scale. Circles are built for trust: 8 to 20 women, seven sessions, and one room where your questions, goals, and next steps matter.
Why Circles convert
A Circle is where a term that used to make you freeze suddenly makes sense because another woman asked first. It is where women compare notes without shame, where small decisions become real momentum, and where no one has to pretend she already knows.
Ways to get involved
Some women are ready for a Circle. Some want a local event first. Some want to read, listen, and get a feel for the room. All of those are real beginnings.
For women ready for a small cohort, honest conversation, and guided action.
Start gently with stories, resources, event invitations, and community updates.
Hear from experts and peers in a space that makes money feel discussable.
Help more women access the confidence, language, and community to move money.
Why women investing matters
The financial system was not built with women in mind. But the money in our accounts, portfolios, retirement plans, donor-advised funds, and family decisions is already part of that system. When women understand it, talk about it, and direct it together, the future starts to move.
"If it were not for IFB, I would not have the confidence to have the money conversations I am having now."Jeanne Wolz, Circle Member
Regional Hubs
IFB Hubs bring women together in a city or region for in-person connection, local events, Circle recruitment, and ongoing conversation. They are where the national community starts to feel like people you could actually meet for coffee.
Small cohorts for structured learning, trust, accountability, and values-aligned investing action.
Local communities for events, alumni connection, city-based opportunities, and new Circles.
A thriving local IFB community where women gather in small Circles, keep learning after the cohort ends, and explore what values-aligned investing can look like in their own region.
A growing local community built around regular in-person gatherings, thoughtful discussion, and the kind of room where smart women can talk openly about money without pressure.
If you keep wishing this existed where you live, that may be the signal. Suggest a city, raise your hand, or help IFB understand where women are ready to gather next.
Meet the co-founder
Janine Firpo is a values-aligned investor, angel investor, social innovator, and author of Activate Your Money. She helped build Invest for Better because too many women have been left out of the rooms where money gets explained, questioned, and directed.
IFB is changing that room. It is a movement of women learning together, challenging old defaults, and creating change through the financial power they already hold.
Janine
The IFB community
Women do not only need more information. They need more honest rooms. More examples. More people saying, "me too," "try this," and "you can ask that." That is what IFB makes possible.
